JOB DESCRIPTION: The Career Navigator is a passionate and resourceful advocate for students and actively leads and contributes to further improve graduation, retention rates, and career placement of students and alums at Tompkins Cortland Community College, with a special focus on supporting students participating in the Increasing Tourism Career Pathways initiative through the Appalachian Regional Commission.
The Career Navigator manages a caseload of students by providing academic, career, and personal support and will work closely with participating regional employers sponsoring the students in this program. The position will support students both on campus and onsite at partner employers, with the majority of time spent in the field.
The Career Navigator will support and advise students through the program and provide guidance for students to continue on a career path in the tourism industry. This position reports to the Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education and collaborates closely with all members of the Workforce Development Career team, Student Services, as well as members of faculty and Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, and regional employers.
This position is within the Professional Administrators Union. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree with a background in secondary education, higher education administration, employer relations, direct client support, social work, counseling, or special education is required. A demonstrated sensitivity to understanding the needs and concerns of a diverse student population--including legal system-involved populations, first-generation college students, adult students, and underrepresented populations--is essential to the hired candidate’s success. One to three years of professional experience in a direct support role in advising, coaching, counseling, teaching, or consulting. Excellent oral and written communication and strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal and organizational relationships. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused, detail-oriented environment. Excellent leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently, determine priorities, and meet multiple deadlines. Willingness to travel regionally.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education Leadership, or related degree program. Demonstrated professional experience in a higher education setting focusing on student success and/or advising. Proven experience leading collaborative efforts between multiple constituencies, including faculty, staff, students, and local community members. Understanding of student career development and employer relations best practices. Knowledge of student information systems, such as Slate and Brightspace, and familiarity with online career platforms such as Handshake.
EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: $58,458.40-$77,466 Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a College employee, this appointment includes NYS retirement benefit options with a choice of a pension or generous employer match to a 414 retirement plan, attractive Health Care options with 80% of premiums covered by the College, post-retirement health insurance and supportive work-life balance with 16 holidays, 20 vacation and 12 sick days per year along with tuition assistance and ability of application to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) in addition to other benefits offered by the College. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Auxiliary Operations (DOAR) will be a strategic partner to the Vice President for Finance & Administration. The DOAR will provide operational leadership and administrative oversight of the auxiliary operations of the College, including the TC3 Foundation and its subsidiaries: Coltivare, TC3 Farm, Residence Halls, and the extension centers in Ithaca and Cortland, in support of the mission of the College and success of students. The DOAR is responsible for the operational activities and financial and administrative reporting for all Foundation activities. The DOAR ensures that comprehensive policies, procedures, and controls are in place and maintained. In consultation with the Vice President for Finance & Administration, the DOAR is responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, budget preparation, and annual audit functions for the TC3 Foundation, TC3 Bistro, and TC3 Farm in conjunction with the outside auditing firm.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or other related field, or a combination of education and related relevant experience. Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to build a rapport and constructive professional relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner. Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously with the ability to prioritize. Adaptability and resourcefulness in the navigation of a complex work environment. Project management skills and capacity to manage complex and related business operations and processes. Experience supervising, leading, and motivating staff to achieve established goals and objectives.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Eight years of professional experience in supporting business operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Facilities (DOF) reports to the Vice President of Finance and Administration (VPFA) and is responsible for providing general administration, supervision, and professional direction for College and Affiliated Enterprise facilities and property management functions, including capital planning, space administration, utilities management, facilities maintenance, sustainability, new capital construction and renovations, landscape, and other physical plant maintenance services. The DOF assists the VP in the formulation of campus policies and confidential contract discussions related to property management and capital projects.
This position is within the Professional Administrators Union. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, Construction Management, or related field. Eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible work experience in facility/physical plant management, of which at least three (3) years within a supervisory capacity. Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management. Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management. Knowledge of State, federal, and environmental regulations. Ability to independently coordinate efforts involving several departments. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Demonstrated problem-solving ability, using good judgment, critical decision-making, and strong negotiation skills. Extensive experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and procurement bidding processes, preferably in a public organization. Proven expertise in project management and process re-engineering. Significant experience managing projects, including large projects of up to two years duration.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible to the Vice President of Student Affairs & Senior Diversity Officer for the development, implementation and management of the campus safety and law enforcement programs of the College; including the protection of persons and property on campus, safety and security planning for the campus and College satellite locations, compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, supervision of department peace officers and civilian staff, and acting as the primary liaison with local law enforcement agencies, courts and the County District Attorney’s Office.
